Our next Product Review (regular but not too frequent of course) is not a review of an Equine nature but of a Canine One, but given that 91% of horse owners also own a dog* we are not totally missing the mark! Our review, after using them ourselves for the past 6 months, is Butternut Box dog food. If you supply a product and would like our Team to review it for you then please feel free to contact us at media@horsevents.co.uk. Reviews are free but must be equine related and obviously we will need some of the product to review!
So this month we are reviewing Butternut Box dog food. We have been using Butternut Box for our office dogs for six months now and really THEY love it!. Butternut is freshy prepared, human grade, dog food that is then supplied in convenient frozen pouches for you to feed at home to your loving pooches.
"We take the best quality ingredients that we can find, gently cook them at 90 degrees, and quickly freeze them so that we can lock in the freshness without relying on any nasty preservatives."
They have 10 recipies to choose from (including a Veg and a Plant based one):
Our dogs' favourite is Duck and Chicken:
A delicious duo of duck and chicken come together with nutty butternut squash, and a sprinkling of juicy cranberries to create a flavoursome feast like no other.
This tasty, complete food for dogs and puppies is made with 60% chicken and duck. We use carefully selected human-quality ingredients every time, without any added grains. Made with love in the UK.
Butternut Box was born from an idea in 2010 by Kev and Dave and a farting dog called Rudie, that turned into a fledgling business in 2015 and is now florishing nationwide.
Kev and Dave also like to give back so with every new dog sign up they donate a free meal to a dog that needs it.
"We started Butternut Box because we wanted to help. As well as donating a meal to those less fortunate each time a new dog signs up to Butternut, we also work with a number of charity partners each year. We're not saying that we're next in line for the Nobel Peace Prize or anything, but whether it's volunteering at our local foodbank or building new shelters for rescue dogs, we hope that the work we do helps a little bit."
If you want to find out more about Butternut Box then visit their website at:
We are also able to offer you a carrot, thanks to the guys at Butternut Box, if you use our unique link to sign up you will get 50% off your first box AND 25% of your second. That is how much they believe in the fresh ingredient dog food that they create.
We hope you enjoy Butternut Box as much as our dogs do! Enjoy!
